Generate and Send a Quote
In this section, you will learn how to generate a quote to print, email or fax. You will also learn the different options available to format your generated quote.
- Select the quote you want to print/fax or email.
- Select the print icon. You will be directed to the Generate Quote screen show below.

- Job-Quote – contains the quote number – job name and the date the quote was entered.
- NEW broadcast quote check box. See Broadcast quote below for new instructions.
- Options – Check boxes for printing the quote with the following options: separate by mfg, portrait view, totals only, footnotes in body, vertical lines and the number of decimals.
NOTE: Defaults for these choices can be made in the office/site configuration record.
- Print Columns – Check the columns you wish to print on the quote.

- Mfg – This box contains the manufacturers that have been quoted. Information also shown here displays the number of lines on the quote, the quantity, amount and total weight for the mfg. To omit a mfg on a quote, uncheck the box next to the mfg located under the print column. This will remove that mfg from the quote and only send those that are listed.
- Email To – This section lists the email address, company and names in addition to the date the quote was sent (after sending). If you wish to add an additional person to the send, click the add contact icon. A new line will now be displayed for you to enter an additional email.

- CC To – This area will display those who are scheduled to receive a CC email of the quote. Like above, you can add additional email addresses by clicking on the add contact icon.
- Excel File – To attach an Excel version of the quote, select the version from the drop down and check the box that says: Attach to Email.

- Comments & Email Body - Comments entered here will appear on the generated quote form and Email Body will be included with your emailed quote.

When finished select Generate Quote. Your generated quote will appear in a preview screen. If you are satisfied with the way the quote appears, select the Fax or Email buttons at the top of the screen. (Note: These buttons do not appear until you generate the quote.) If you want to make changes to the generated quote, simply make the changes listed above and select Generate Quote to refresh the preview screen.
Attachments:
Available attachments will apprear in the documents window. Once you have generated your quote you may select any of the available documents to attach to your e-mailed quote. These attachments will be sent as a separate attachment. Note: This function is only available for e-mailed quotes.

Note: The manufacturer names appear in the .pdf file name when you generate quote. Additionally, you can separate a quote by manufacturer, create multiple quotes in .pdf and broadcast them. This allows you to broadcast the quotes and the receiving customer can select which quote they need to open by reading the manufacturer name in the file.
