Add Items and Notes to a Quote

Field Header Descriptions



1. Paging Click the + or - to page forward and back. Click to navigate back to fist page. Click to navigate to the last page.
2. Page Size You can change the number of line items yo usee on a page by entering the number here and pressing Go.
3. Go Press Go after changing the page size.
4. Total Items Indicates the number of line items on the quote.
5. Any Box Manufacturer filter selection. You can leave this box at Any (default) to search all manufacturers. To closer define, select the manufacturer
from the drop down box.
6. Search Item search field. Enter any character from the item number or description. The list will populate and redefine as you enter more characters.
Select your item to continue.
7. Qty. Enter the quantity
8. Disc. Enter a discount here if you want to override the system default pricing.
9. Competitive
Search
To find your equal, check this box and enter the competitors item number in the search field.
10. Note Adds a note line to the quote.

New Part
Adds Part on the Fly
12. Add Part Adds part to quote.
13. Add Kit Adds a complete kit of parts to quote.
14. Add Series Adds a complete series of parts to quote.
PF     Price Flag  Sets the Pricing Flag for the item.  A=All, N=Net, L=List, X=None  Click here for more information on Pricing Flags

Note System Modification: Added to the above is a "Search Description" check box that allows you to also search the description when entering a part number. If you do not way ISQuote to search the item descriptions, uncheck this box. See Below







Field Body Descriptions



1. Sort Icon Choose up or down to sort line items ascending or descending
2. Save Click the save icon after adding additional information to the line item such as location or footnote.
3. Footnotes (Fn) Four fields are available to enter preset footnotes. To view available footnotes click the Fn hyperlink.
4. Line Number Indicates the line number of the quote. Change any line by renumbering it here.
5. Location Optional field to enter the part location based on architectural specifications.
6. Approval Code If you are set up to use approval codes - enter it here.
7. Add/Update Checking this box adds/updates and item changes.
8. Manufacturer &
Part Number
Indicates the manufacturer of the entered part, and the part number.
9. Competitive Equal
Manufacturer & Part No.
Indicates the competitive manufacturer and the competitive manufacturer part number.
10. Check box Check this box if you want the competitive product information to print on the quote.
11. Item & Customer Type Indicates the item and customer pricing type.
12. Item Description Entered item description
13. Quantity/Unit of Measure
Weight/Service Charge
Indicates the quantity entered, the items unit of measure, weight and any service charge placed on the item.
14. List/Discount/Net Pricing Indicates the item's list price, discount and net price.
15. Pricing Indicator "M" indicates that the discount is a multiplier, "D" indicates a discount.
16. Line Item Total Indicates the total amount of the line item.


Enhancement:




Entering Items

  1. Select the manufacturer from the drop down box or leave at Any to search all manufacturers.
  2. Enter any characters from the item's part number or description. (Note: If you do not want to search the items description, uncheck "Search Description" box.) The list will populate and redefine as you enter more characters. Use the arrow down key on your keyboard to navigate to the item you wish to enter. Once the item is highlighted hit your tab key to select. (Using the tab key will navigate you to the next field.)
  3. Enter Quantity
  4. Override default pricing. Note: Entering a whole number here such as 20 will indicate a discount i.e. 20%. Entering a decimal number .20 indicates a multiplier.
  5. Select Add Part or tab over to Add Kit or Add Series. For more information on Kits and Series see: Adding Item Kits and Adding Item Series
  6. PF - Enter the pricing flag you would like to use.  Note:  This field is optional.
  7. You can now move to entering your next item or define the item you have just entered by tabbing down and entering additional information such as footnotes, location, modifying item's description or pricing information. Note: You must click on the line save icon to save any changes you make in these fields. For more information on special pricing see: Pricing
  8. When you have completed entering your line items click on the Save & Exit button at the top of the screen or go directly to generating the printed quote by clicking on the print icon at the top.
