What is a Job (Project)?
A Job is defined within ISQuote as a project or job. Within the Job module you can enter information regarding the job such as the job's bid due date, location of the job, job owner information, notes and additional contact information such as the architect or engineer or general contactor. Job information does not contain items that you will be quoting. You must first enter a job before you can add a quote.NOTE: You can change the terminology of "Job" to another word of your preference. You may want the system to refer to a "Job" as a "Project" or something else that is customized to your business. Changes in terminology can be made within the Office/Site record.
What is a Quote?
A Quote is a document that you produce to send to your customer to "Quote" a job. In order to enter a quote, you must first associate it with a job. You can have multiple quotes for a job. Once you have entered a Job you can add unlimited quotes to that job. Quotes that have been generated for a job can be viewed in the Job screen as seen below. Note that there are multiple quotes for this job, each sent to a different customer.
