Kits About Kits
Kits are used to save time when adding duplicate items to a quote. A kit may contain a sink, faucet and drain for example. If these three items are added often to a quote, creating them as a kit may save you time. Kits will be placed in the quote as a single line item each displaying their separate pricing.
Begin by navigating to the main item you wish to create a kit with.
Click the edit icon for the item.
Click the Item Detail Kit tab at the top.
You are now ready to create a kit.
To begin search for the item you wish to add.
Enter the quantity you need for this kit.
Click the Add to Kit button.
Continue adding your remaining items to finish the kit.
Click Save.
Note: When entering a line item on a quote your kit will be displayed in the description of the item when you do a search. You may add the kit to a quote by selecting any of the items in the kit and clicking on ADD KIT.
Create a Kit for a series of Items.
Lets say the main series is referred to the 1203R Valve. You have many of these types of valves but each with a different size and price but basically they are the same. You would typically like to specify this item once with a full description and then list each of the sizes under that with thier appropiate price.
