Add a New Quote
In order to add a quote you must first have a Job already entered into the system.
(If you do not have a need to track particular quotes, you may create a "General" Job to use as a standard. We do not recommend this process for it undermines the systems ability to track jobs giving you detailed information on the projects you are quoting.)
Note: You must already have a Job entered into the system in order to enter a Quote.
There are three ways to add a quote.
1. Select a job from the Job screen as shown below and click Add Quote. See Figure 1. 2. Select Add quote from the Job Edit screen. (This option is available after you have entered a job.) See Figure 2. 3. Copy an existing quote and generate a new quote. See Copy Quote for more information.

Once you have chosen to add a new quote you will be directed to the Add Quote page where you will enter the general information for the quote.
- Select the Job you wish to quote from the drop down box.
- If necessary change the bid due date by entering it manually or by selecting a date from the calendar. (If your bid due date is estimated you can indicate this by checking the box to the right of the calendar icon.) Click here for more information on bid due dates.
- Set Customer: Begin by entering any part of the customer name. The list will populate and drill down as you enter more characters of the customer name. Select the customer you wish to quote and select "Set Customer". Once you have "Set Customer" , the rest of the fields from the customer master will automatically fill in.
You can add a customer on the fly by clicking on the Add Customer icon . For more information on adding a customer on the fly see: Add Customer on the Fly
- Internal Notes: Notes may be added here for internal use only.
- Comments: Comments entered here will appear in the header portion of the print quote form.

NOTE MODIFICATION: 5/7/2008
