Active / Inactive Records
In order to preserve your database with items, contacts, customers and manufacturers that you have:
- Already added to your system
- AND used to create a quote...
... we have included a feature that will allow you to make any of the above INACTIVE. When you choose to make a record INACTIVE, the record will no longer display in the searches other than viewing the master record lists. To make an record INACTIVE, navigate to the record and uncheck the ACTIVE box.
Note: Below is a brief explanation of why the system will not allow you to "Just Delete!" data.
If you have entered a record and have never used it to create a quote... the system will typically allow you to either delete or transfer the record. When data has been used to created a quote or job it is "literally attached" to that record. If the system allowed you to delete data that you used on a record it would corrupt the history for those records.
